The archipelago is home to 95% of the Caribbean's coral species, so if you dive or snorkel, prepare to see a wonderful variety of creatures in the area's tropical reefs, including nurse sharks, rays, and many species of crabs and lobsters.

There are three main islands in Bocas del Toro: Isla Colón, the most populated in the Bocas del Toro archipelago, Isla Bastimentos, one of the largest in Panama, and the small Isla Carenero, which you can walk around in about an hour.
