The experience

Day 1

The adventure begins in Chiriquí Grande. Your driver will be waiting to take you to the entrance of the community, where you will receive a warm welcome from the local residents.

After the welcome, the hike to Alto Chorro Waterfall will begin, considered by many to be one of the most impressive in Panama. The one-hour hike, of medium-to-high difficulty, through the jungle will take you through lush landscapes to this hidden paradise, where you can immerse yourself in its crystal-clear waters and recharge your energy surrounded by nature. You'll enjoy a traditional Ngäbe lunch with fresh, local ingredients right at the waterfall, and then depart back to the community for a short rest.

After the break, you can participate in unique cultural experiences, such as a cocoa workshop, where you will learn the traditional process of its production and taste artisanal chocolate, or a sewing workshop, where you will learn about the style of the Ngäbe people and you can even try on their clothes.

The day ends with a dinner served to the group, featuring typical dishes from the region. After dinner, you can enjoy a relaxing evening, admiring the starry sky and the tranquility of the surroundings.

Day 2

The following day, after breakfast, you can enjoy other typical Ngäbe activities, such as visiting Charco Azul, a natural pool of crystal-clear water just ten minutes from the village. Another activity is the botany tour, where you will discover the traditional uses of various medicinal plants and put this knowledge into practice by preparing teas with the collected herbs.

A traditional lunch will mark the end of this enriching experience. Your driver will be ready to take you back to the Chiriquí Grande dock, so you can continue your journey to your next destination, with the memory of two unforgettable days in the Alto La Gloria community.
